The breakfast was excellent each morning and the staff v. friendly. Excellent location and amazing views. The rooms are a bit noisy with the doors opening and shutting but that's like any hotel I suppose when it was at full capacity.

Antelope by Greene King Inns, hotel in Poole

Situated on Poole Harbour quay, The Antelope is just a 10-minute drive from Sandbanks beach. With a 500 year history the hotel’s comfortable rooms also offer free Wi-Fi access.

Not somewhere to stay unless you have to!!! Nothing to like about this hotel, the website shows a well designed and well equipped facility but the bedrooms were desperately in need of decorating, the windows were decaying and in the room was in need of painting throughout, the bathroom was cramped and grubby and you couldnt sit on the loo without hitting the loo paper holder. Not a facility you would wish to have a bath in! The food was vey mediocre and the staff pleasant but stressed from insufficient staff. They were so late at serving breakfast that ourselves and other guests had to leave without breakfast. The locality was similarly grubby and no parking nearby.

We didn't go to Poole for holiday as my sister just been diagnosed with MND ( Motor Neurone Disease),and we lived quite far away (Middlesbrough),and a long journey down. The people that owned the B&B had shown compassion throughout our stay,we really appreciated their kindness and support

Staying on Poole Quay was great.

Staying on Poole Quay was great. A lovely stroll along the waterfront with views to Brownsea Island. You can take a boat trip around the Harbour, alighting at Brownsea as one of the destinations. Poole Quay has cafes, bars, good restaurants, very good fish and chips from a quayside hut. It's a short stroll to Poole Old Town with its shops and further along to main Poole Shopping Centre. Very good local transport links to Bournemouth and suburbs. Infact easy to get anywhere like Swanage, Weymouth, Salisbury etc.

A historic, well maintained town with many of the facilities you would expect to find in a modern day town. The harbour was an attractive place to visit with many businesses there to serve visitors whilst Poole Park was well worth the visit.

    It’s a lovely location.

It’s a lovely location. Lots of really nice places to eat out and plenty of good shops. We didn’t venture too far away, but I would definitely recommend a trip to Brownsea Island. We also visited Sandbanks, Wareham and Corfe Castle, all very close by.

We looked around the harbour and went on a boat trip of the harm=bour and sandbanks which was very interesting. We were due to go the the speedway but this was cancelled due to the weather which was disappointing but the speedway was really easy to find and there looked like there would be ample parking. We also spent time in Bournemouth. We ate at the Quay café where we had breakfast it was fab

The team were really friendly and the location of the ox was perfect for having a wander with quite a few pubs in walking distance. The breakfast which was cooked to order was very good. The restaurant and bar area of the ox is really nice and cosy with a Thai theme and has a nice little covered seating area out the back. Even with the room needing a bit of tlc it didn't ruin our stay and was the most reasonably priced hotel in Poole for this time.

The overall feel of this B&B was that it just seemed to be a home from home and Christina and Martyn couldn’t have been more welcoming. The breakfast was excellent ++ and Apps B&B is certainly the place to stay if you are in Poole. Christina apologized for the sound of the very heavy rain on the roof of our family room but I thought this proved to be a very relaxing experience and should be used as a selling point.

Great Stay !! The 1st night was quite stormy but we barely felt the boat moving.....we enjoyed the hot tub and music on the boat every evening rain or shine. The location was great as a base for daytrips. We used both the kitchen facilities on the boat and access to the bar/restaurant in the marina and we also went into Poole 1 evening. Also had time for a cozy read in the lounge area.

The inclusive breakfast was amazing! We didn’t think drinks were part of it but everything was a help-yourself situation - we had a long journey ahead and that meal prepared us! Staff were friendly and the room was clean and comfy. Completely worth the price and would happily return, thanks Amali in the Poole hotel for making us feel welcome at the front desk! 😊

Chezza is lovely. So helpful. Room had everything I needed. I didn't expect a hotel experience at the price so was very happy with the place. Lovely quiet area and central to both Poole and Bournemouth. It is not bed and breakfest, so dont expect one. The price reflects this, and I was happy with that. I would use it again

The staff were lovely, the room seemed to be quite small for the price we paid (£270) and it was much cheaper to book via the hotel du vin website. The hotel was quite loud with cars going past and seems like it needs an update with some fresh carpets and lick of paint.
